About Us

Created by a mom, inspired by my son.
Gabo Baby began as a simple idea to help capture more smiles, more eye contact, and more everyday memories.
About Gabo Baby
Gabo Baby started with a simple challenge: getting my baby to look at the camera.
I found myself waving high-contrast cards with black-and-white patterns around my phone, hoping to catch a smile or a glance for that perfect photo. Eventually, I had a simple idea: what if the high-contrast pattern was on my phone case?
So I created Gabo Baby.
After using these designs during everyday photo sessions, I noticed my baby was often interested in looking toward the patterned case while I was taking pictures. What began as a practical solution for capturing memories became part of our daily interactions.
Inspired by Research on Early Visual Development
During the first few months of life, a baby’s vision is still developing and is much less sensitive to detail and contrast than an adult’s. Because of this, an infants attention is caught by bold, high-contrast patterns rather than low-contrast or visually complex images. Research also suggests that simple, high-contrast designs, whether black-and-white or thoughtfully chosen colors, can be especially visually engaging during this early stage of development. That’s why the Gabo Baby collection includes both classic monochrome designs and carefully selected color palettes inspired by what we know about early infant vision.
